Become an Approved CE Sponsor
As an approved CE sponsor you will get organizational approval. You can offer CE credits for your own programs without having to apply for each program individually.
Options are ASWB, NBCC, APA, State applications, etc.
Your programs and courses must be evidence-based.
As an APA provider, you will also be able to offer CE credits for others’ programs as long as they meet the requirements of the APA. This is called co-sponsorship.
To become an approved CE sponsor, the first step we’d take is to select one or more suitable organizations for approval.
The next step you’d take is to obtain the application from the organization (APA, etc.) that you’d like to be approved by to offer CE credits for programs under the auspices of that organization.
Then you’d fill out that application the best you can.
Once I receive your completed-to-the-best-of-your-abilities application, it is my job to review/edit/revise/make recommendations/answer questions, help you fulfill the requirements, and make your final application submission ready.
I recommend starting with the APA application for two reasons:
- Many states/professions accept CE credits for programs that have an APA-approved sponsor.
- You do not submit courses for prior approval; you make your own decisions. This is really important.
There are two application windows each year to become an APA-approved CE sponsor. Other organizations have floating deadlines.
